Hello~ Weekend Cooking is back with summer dish!

Travelers Planet Hostel is offering cool summer dishes for guests these days, the weather got so hot!

*Ingredients

pear juice (get it from any store), vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, noodles, cucumber, seaweed, sesame

*Directions

1. simmer the noodles for 5 minutes and put it in cold water.

2. mix pear juice, vinegar one big spoon, soy sauce 2 spoons, sesame oil one spoon and mix it.

3. julienne a cucumber and seaweed, then put together with 

noodle and the seasoning of 2. together!
*with Ice water it tastes better!

Weekend Cooking 76th at Travelers Planet Hostel (Travelers Planet Hostel Guesthouse, Hongdae, Seoul, Korea)

Weekend Cooking is back!

This time our manager Evy made Kimchi Pancake, or Kimchi-Jeon!

Kimchi Pancake is said to be good to have with makgeolli (traditional korean rice wine) in Korea!

Let’s make it!!

*Ingredients

Kimchi

Flour

Half cup of water

*Direction

1. Chop the onions

2. Chop the kimchi

3. Mix the flour and other ingredients with adequate amount of water. The mix shouldn’t be too watery or too thick!

4. Heat the pan and add enough oil. When the oil gets hot, scoop the mix and spread it on the pan

5. Cook both sides until it turns nice yellowish orange. Now the kimchijeon is ready to serve.

*Optional!

You can also prepare the sauce and have it with Kimchi Jeon

Slice and snip those chives

and then ready the dark soy sauce!
