We cook Sweet Potato matang for this breakfast! 

Sweet potatoes have significant antioxidant capacities and are rich in vitamin A, B-6 and C as well as potassium. How sweet it is for us to eat these tasty sweet potatoes and not get fat! (Even though we put the sugar and syrup to make Matang..)

Enjoy eating a lot of sweet potatoes this fall to stay healthy :)

*Ingredients

Sweet potato, sugar(Syrup), oil

*Directions

1. Pill sweet potatoes, wash it and cut it into cube.

2. Add sweet potatoes, cover pan and bring water to boil until tender.

3. Fry boiled sweet potato pieces in the frypan.

4. Make the Syrup with sugar and water.

5. Cover the syrup to diced sweet potato.

Weekend Cooking‬ 95th at Travelers Planet Hostel (Travelers Planet Hostel Guesthouse, Hongdae, Seoul, Korea)

We cooked tteokbokki yesterday in the morning! 

Tteokbokki is a delicious Korean dish which many persons like.

It is made of long thins stick-like rice cake, vegetables, fish cake, 

and so on whatever you want to put. 

Normarlly, it is spicy because of the gochujang(Korean spicy sauce), 

but there is also soy sauce tteokbokki. 

If you travel Korea, the one of that you should taste is tteokbokki in the street :)

*Ingredient

stick-like rice cake, spring onion, fish cake, soy sauce, sugar, gochujang, chili pepper, garlic

*Directions

1. Put the stick-like rice cake in the water.

2. Mix cut spring onion and garlic and the other sauce, 

then put it in the water and boil it.

3. When water is started to boil, put the rice cake until cooked through.

4. As rice cake is almost cooked, put fish cake to finish cooking.

Do you know Fungrisoo?(Travelers Planet Hostel Guesthouse, Hongdae, Seoul, Korea)

Fungrisoo(Fung-ri-soo) is the most famous #Taiwanese_snack_food.

This is a kind of #short_cake including pineapple jam(?) or cream(?) inside.

I don't know how to say.

But just one thing everybody agrees is Fungrisoo is so delicious!

I wish I could get it easily everywhere but only in Taiwan.

Sometimes, Taiwanese guest gave us as gift Fungrisoo.

It is so precious thing!

Last Wednesday, we cooked Corn&Tuna Jeon for our guests.

Jeon is unique kind of Korean style food,
and it can be transformed into various kind of Jeon.
This Corn&Tuna Jeon is also kind of it. It is not traditional,
but trendy food that we can enjoy to cook and taste easily. 

Refer how to cook it as below, try it once! It is very easy :) 

*Ingredients

Corn, Tuna, Onion, Flour, Oil

*Directions

1. Remove moisture of corn and tuna. 

2. Cut onion, remove water and mix with corn and tuna. 

3. Season it with salt and pepper. 

4. Beat flour and eggs to paste.

5. Fry the mixture with enough oil.

We planted some lettuces in the rectangular flower pots.

It's been picked up many times for breakfast so it was almost gone.

We decided to plant some flowers instead.

Today's food is very simple. 'Corn Butter'.

I'm not sure where this recipe came from.

As I remember, Corn Butter mostly comes out from Korean pubs.

It's actually good with Soju or Beer.

Let's see how simple to make it.

Sweet Corn(Can), Ham, Onion, Butter, Mayonnaise, Salt, Pepper

*Directions

1. Chop ham and onion as cube.

2. Mix sweet corn with '1.', mayonnaise, salt and pepper.

3. Stir '2.' with butter on a roasting pan.

In the first, They made us an awesome Jeon for us.

It was my best Jeon ever.

In this time, they made us 3 different foods!

I couldn't take all of those photos cause I ate it as soon as got it.

This is one of them 'Stir-fried Soondae'. It was really good too.

I think this is strong advantage of Travelers Planet.

Today in the morning, we cook Jajang rice for our guests!

Jajang rice or Jajang myun is a popular Korean-style Chinese dish.

As you can watch in the video, Jajang is black sauce made by Chunjang.

Many Koreans eat Jajang rice and Jajang myun often. And you can easily enjoy it in your home or office!

*Ingredient

powder of Jajang, Onion, Carrot, Potato, Garlic, Pork, Pepper

*Directions

1. Chop all ingredient(Potato, Onion, Carrot, Pork)

2. Put the pepper to the pork for seasoning

3. Smash up garlic and fry with oil, then put 1)Onion 2)Carrot 3)Potato 4)Pork to the pan

4. Pour the water, powder of Jajang and boil it

5. When Jajang bubbles up, reduce the fire and boil more.
