Do you know Fungrisoo?(Travelers Planet Hostel Guesthouse, Hongdae, Seoul, Korea)

Fungrisoo(Fung-ri-soo) is the most famous #Taiwanese_snack_food.

This is a kind of #short_cake including pineapple jam(?) or cream(?) inside.

I don't know how to say.

But just one thing everybody agrees is Fungrisoo is so delicious!

I wish I could get it easily everywhere but only in Taiwan.

Sometimes, Taiwanese guest gave us as gift Fungrisoo.

It is so precious thing!

The first gardening of the year was April.

We planted some lettuces in the rectangular flower pots.

It's been picked up many times for breakfast so it was almost gone.

We decided to plant some flowers instead.

Weekend Cooking 93rd at Travelers Planet Hostel(Travelers Planet Hostel Guesthouse, Hongdae, Seoul, Korea)

Today's food is very simple. 'Corn Butter'.

I'm not sure where this recipe came from.

As I remember, Corn Butter mostly comes out from Korean pubs.

It's actually good with Soju or Beer.

Let's see how simple to make it.

*Ingredient

Sweet Corn(Can), Ham, Onion, Butter, Mayonnaise, Salt, Pepper

*Directions

1. Chop ham and onion as cube.

2. Mix sweet corn with '1.', mayonnaise, salt and pepper.

3. Stir '2.' with butter on a roasting pan.

Jaehyun and Seunhoon are Korean guests visited twice.

In the first, They made us an awesome Jeon for us.

It was my best Jeon ever.

In this time, they made us 3 different foods!

I couldn't take all of those photos cause I ate it as soon as got it.

This is one of them 'Stir-fried Soondae'. It was really good too.

I think this is strong advantage of Travelers Planet.

What? Almost all rooms have their own kitchenette.

Attractive Italian girls Greta, Jessica and Alessia invited us for dinner.

They made us awesome Italian foods and it was absolutely amazing.

I was also amazed by how they make quite traditional Italian food in Korea!

And we talked about our languages each other. It was so funny.

This Chinese girl came to TravelersPlanet last year with her mother.

She thought this place is great for friends as well as family.

Because there is a huge shopping street around Hongdae.

Got a present from lovely kids.(Travelers Planet Hostel Guesthouse, Hongdae, Seoul, Korea)

Gabriel and Lizzie are kids of this Korean mom and German dad.

This family live in Berlin.

Korean mom Eunji has come to her hometown to travel with all family.

Gabriel and Lizzie can speak German and Korean as well.

But They are so shy to speak Korean because they don't usually speak Korean except Eunji.

They are so cute being shy.

Today, They came to the office(a.k.a Cafe Planet) and gave us a little present.

That is 'Guten Abend Tee'. 'Guten abend' means 'Good evening'.

They gave this Guen abend tee in the evening.

First time to try German tee. I'll love it.

Weekend Cooking 88th at Travelers Planet Hostel (Travelers Planet Hostel Guesthouse, Hongdae, Seoul, Korea)

One of the Korean traditional food is Jeon(Pancake)! 

Sometimes when it is rainy, we would like to cook and eat Jeon with rice wine haha

So in this morning, we cook Leek Jeon as weekend cooking.

Check this video, and imagine how delicious it is! hehe :-) 

*Ingredients

Leek, egg, powder, water, salt, oil, Sometimes onion and chill

*Directions

1. Cut the leek you prepared in proper size

2. Mix cut leek, powder, egg and water to make it easy to fry

*If you want to put onion or chili, add them all as well 

3. Oil the pan, add mixture, and bake until it is complete. 

4. Eat leek pancake with soy sauce according to your liking
